8 months old...

Leo is EIGHT months old TODAY! 

It was a big day for Leo - he had his 8 month birthday AND started eating food at daycare! (He has been eating food at night at home since Thanksgiving, but daycare couldn't start him on food until he was 8 months old) When we dropped him off at 7:00 this morning, Gail was SO excited to feed him. She had his cereal and fruit waiting...she called at 7:37 to tell me that it went awesome! He ate everything - even after I had fed him 6+ ounces of milk at home!  Leo is proving to be a good eater - he ate all 3 meals of food plus drank the same amount of milk - where does it all go?!?!  What goes in, must come out, right?  The cloth diapers have been pretty easy so far - solid food definitely could change that?!?!

Up until now, putting Leo to bed has been easy...we put him in his crib and he goes to sleep...nothing to it!  Well, Leo has finally figured out that he can move around and roll over in his crib. This "discovery" has made it interesting the last few nights.  We lay Leo down - and within minutes - he is crying.    This is usually how we find him when we go into his room check on him...

STUCK!

Leo is really starting to move around - he isn't crawling yet, but he is scooting a little bit on his butt and pulling with his arms/pushing off with his toes.  Sometimes we leave trails of Gerber Puffs on the floor - he figures out how to get them - no matter how far away they are!  He will do the same for toys placed out of his reach, but he isn't quite as determined as he is when food is the prize!
